Debanjana Bhattacharjee
Originally from Mumbai, India, Debanjana Bhattacharjee moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 2015 from Texas. She has a post graduate diploma in Modern and Contemporary Indian Art History from Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Mumbai. Her artistic practices are a blend of her Indian and western aesthetic sensibilities.
A self-taught artist, Debanjana enjoys painting in both oil and acrylics; the quick drying acrylic medium helps her with the intuitive expressionist style of work. She believes the desire to create and express is part of her everyday art making practice. A daily painter, Debanjana is currently exploring South Carolina through en plein air (outdoor painting) and wants to bring forth a dialogue between nature and self
