
Tina Proctor
Tina believes watercolor is “alive” with a unique personality. To partner with the movement of water and pigment remains her creative motivation and reward. After studying advertising art at Central Piedmont College in Charlotte, NC she enjoyed more than 40 years in Charlotte working as a graphic designer, art director, and commercial illustrator while gradually evolving towards fine art.
Her work has been published by ad firms, banks, non-profits, newspapers, magazines, corporations, and service industries. She exhibited in Charlotte galleries, arts organizations, and the NC Watercolor Society. For a decade she managed her award winning freelance studio and is honored to have painting in public and private collections in the Eastern US. In 2017, Tina and her husband moved to Pawleys Island where she is involved in the local art community and continues to be inspired by Lowcountry architecture and landscapes. She is an exhibiting member of the Georgetown Watercolor Society, serving as vice President for 2020. Her work has been included in juried shows for the Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild and teh Island Art Gallery. Original watercolors are sold at the Georgetown Art Gallery on Front Street, along with giclee prints and notecards. Giclee prints are also availabble at Seaside Framing in Litchfield Village at WIllbrook Blvd, in Pawleys Island.
