Beth A. Wilson

Beth grew up and worked in upstate New York as an accountant and then a literacy teacher.  After retiring from teaching in 2019, she made art the focus of her life and moved from the cold to the warmth of the South Carolina coast.

Creativity and art have been a part of her entire life.  She began painting landscapes in watercolor, and moved to abstracts to express herself.  While painting as a hobby, she was largely self-taught supplemented with some short workshops and classes.  In 2020, she enrolled in Art2Life’s Creative Visionary Program with well-known artist and mentor Nicholas Wilton which propelled her work forward.

Beth’s work has been shown locally in the Myrtle Beach area. She won an Honorable Mention award in the Seacoast Artist Guild 2023 Fall Show.   Her work has been juried into the Collectors’ Event at the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum in 2024 and the Waccamaw Arts and Craft Guild Spring Show in 2021 and 2024.
